The brush is the workhorse — it's the part actually digging into the soil while the rest of the machine plays a supporting role. Everything else is expensive infrastructure so the brush can do its job. When bristles wear short, the machine's still doing all its work, but the brush isn't reaching the floor properly. That's a lot of watts turning into disappointment.
This is the genuine Nilfisk Advance OEM BRACKET LT SIDE BROOM Q235 GAL, part number 55940595, brand new in the box. Bristles have a working length — once they're worn down past it, the machine is dragging them, not scrubbing with them. Check bristle length once a month and you'll never be surprised.
Genuine OEM means the correct bristle grade, correct block dimensions, and correct drive engagement. Aftermarket brushes that are "close" wobble on the drive and wear out early.
