Without the pump, your solution tank is a full container of water going nowhere. This little component is what gets the chemistry to the floor — measured amounts, consistent pressure, right where the brush is about to do its work. When it's healthy, the machine cleans on schedule. When it's tired, the machine wets the floor unevenly and cleaning suffers for it.
This is the genuine Nilfisk Advance OEM FUEL PUMP ELECTRONIC, part number 56508355, brand new in the box. Pumps are one of the parts that let you down gradually — pressure drops a little, then a little more, then one day flow's spotty and the machine's underperforming without any obvious warning.
Genuine OEM pumps deliver the flow rate and pressure the machine was designed around. A slightly-off aftermarket pump changes coverage and dwell time, which changes cleaning results.
